North Korean APT group Kimsuky used generative AI (ChatGPT) and deepfake technology to forge South Korean military official identification documents as part of a sophisticated cyberattack campaign. The group created fake ID photos using deepfakes to impersonate military personnel and gain access to sensitive systems, while also employing batch files and AutoIt scripts to evade antivirus detection.
